County physician who practiced from 1912 until 1967.

Dr. Walter Hankins
donated a large collection
of radiographs and radiographic equipment to the Medical Library,
compiled by both he and his father, Dr. John Hankins, the first
radiologist in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Dr. Carroll Long, a distinguished surgeon and enthusiastic amateur
historian, contributed his extensive library to the Medical Library
Museum, including rare medical books originally belonging to his father,
E.A. Long and Uncle, John A. Hardy.
